Prelibato is twenty year’s old dream of Cristina and Giuseppe Rutigliano who wanted to bring in this country the Italian food culture by making available the finest food and wines. The dream became reality when their son, Michele, after graduating in philosophy, joined the project bringing all new level of creativity and research and building our dishes along with our Chef.

Our philosophy is summarised into three words:

Sophisticated yet informal.

Sophisticated because we research to the finest detail everything we do and offer in order to make sure that our products are the best and the most true to the Italian tradition and culture. Our products are sophisticated and so is the taste of our guests. We directly import the vast majority of our products from Italy working closely to the best artisan producers. We also take pride in having developed a relationship with some local producers such our coffee roasters and cake maker.

Informal, because Prelibato is a place where you can spend time in a relaxed, friendly and home-like athmosphere without giving up on a warm and attentive service. Everything at Prelibato, from the furniture to the music we play, has been specifically chosen to make sure that our guests will feel like they would in an Italian Locanda.

If you are curious and would like to know more about our products and their history, please come and pay us a visit and ask any member of our team and we will be delighted to pass all our product knowledge.

Lastly and more importantly, enjoy your time at Prelibato Beaconsfield.

Dear Customers,

Firstly, let us sincerely thank you for the warmest response to our Take-Away service. All of you have demonstrated support to our business in the past few days with an overwhelming number of orders that show how much the Community of our customers cares about us and we are deeply grateful.

We are all facing unprecedented circumstances where the framework in which we operate changes daily. The Government has announced yesterday 20th of March 2020 the decision of closing down all the leisure activities including restaurants in order to minimise contacts between people in the attempt of slowing down the spread of Covid-19 virus and in doing so saving lives. To facilitate that, the Chancellor has made available financial resources to protect jobs and the survival of businesses.

We have assessed our Take-Away operation and we have realised that, despite our best effort, we will never be able to achieve a “Non Contact” policy able to protect the health of our Customers and Staff alike. It is clear to us that our responsibility as entrepreneurs and citizens is to fight this crisis that is affecting our Health before our finances.

So, after careful consideration, we have made the decision to put Health before profit and therefore Prelibato will be closed until further notice.

We would like to thank all of you once more and wish to this great country good luck.

Stay safe.

Cristina, Michele and Giuseppe
